Nike Machspeed Woods

Nike Machspeed Woods- Nike golf makes some of the best golf clubs and most popular golf clubs. It doesn’t hurt that Tiger plays Nike golf clubs. The new Nike Machspeed woods are great. Nike golf makes a lot of golf clubs to choose from. Nike Machspeed!

Beginning as a distributor for a Japanese shoe manufacturer, Nike, Inc. now produces a range of sports apparel and equipment including golf clubs. This article reviews the Nike golf clubs including drivers and fairway woods, with special attention to Nike Machspeed woods.

Nike Fairway Woods

Nike has two product lines in its fairway woods: SQ Machspeed and VR Pro. The VR Pro line is characterized by:

• a high degree of adjustability

• a medium or high degree of workability

• a high launch

• a low spin

• a swing weight of D1.5 to D3.5

There is a listing in product comparison for a VR STR8-FIT Tour Fairway Woods, but no further information about it can be found on the website.

The Nike SQ Machspeed Fairway Woods

The Machspeed Fairway Woods has a standard and a women’s version, both characterized by increased swing speed and resulting distance. Both feature an aerodynamic square head design that increases forgiveness, but with no adjustability and medium workability. Both have a high launch and medium spin. The woods offered are 3, 4, 5, and 7 in standard and 2, 5, and 7 in women’s. Only the standard has left-handed models for the 3-wood and the 5-wood. The swing weight is D2.5 for the standard and C7 for the women’s.

The loft angle begins at 15 degrees for the 3-wood and increases by 2 degrees up to 21 degrees for the 7 in the standard. In the women’s version, the 3-wood is 17 degrees, and each subsequent club increases by 3 degrees. The lie angle is 58 degrees for the standard 3-wood, 59 degrees for the standard 4- and 5-wood and the women’s 3- and 5-wood, and 59.5 degrees for the standard and women’s 7-woods. The length of the standard clubs starts with 43 inches for the 3-wood, and moves down half an inch per club, ending at 41.5 inches for the 7-wood. The women’s woods are 42 inches, 41 inches, and 40.5 inches, respectively.

Nike Drivers

Nike also has four product lines in its drivers: SQ Machspeed, VR Pro, VR STR8-FIT Tour, and VR Tour. The VR STR8-FIT and VR Tour are characterized by compression channel technology, a c-shape round head design, low launch and low spin. The VR Pro has variable compression channel technology and is pear-shaped. The VR Pro and the VR STR8-FIT both are adjustable, while the VR Tour is not. The VR Pro and VR Tour both have high workability, while the VR STR8-FIT has medium workability.

The Nike SQ Machspeed Drivers

The Nike SQ Machspeed drivers are offered in Black Driver and Black Driver Square lines in standard and for women. The Black Driver has and 8-position adjustable STR8-FIT face angle, and a round head for more workability. The Black Driver Square has the same adjustability options, but the square head design increases forgiveness. Both lines have 360 Aerodynamics technology, but the head design of the Black Driver is C-shape round, while the Black Driver Square is Aerodynamic Square. Both have low workability and mid to high spin, but while the Round line has a mid-height launch, the Square line has mid to high launch.
