Ping K15 Woods

Ping K15- Staying as one of the best golf clubs maker, Ping is now introducing the new Ping K15 woods. Available in both drivers and fairway woods, the Ping K15 are great. Best Golf Equipment Reviews will explain to you the benefits of the Ping K15 woods.

Ping is always looking to change their golf clubs but doesn't feel they always have to. For instance look at the Ping Eye irons. Those irons were around for so long and are still being played today. The same goes for the Ping woods. With that being said though, when Ping can change their drivers and fairways woods to benefit the players, they will in a heartbeat. That is just what Ping has done with the new Ping K15 drivers and Ping K15 fairway woods. While both the Ping K15 drivers and Ping K15 fairway woods are similar, there are a few differences to them that are specific to them. Best Golf Equipment Reviews is going to talk about both of them before we give you our field test results of the Ping K15.

Ping K15 Drivers

The new Ping K15 drivers are designed to hit the ball straighter and longer. Isn't that what we all want in drivers! Featuring a driver head the size of 460cc and a longer heel to toe measurement, the Ping K15 driver is more forgiving than other golf drivers on the market. There are three key changes to the Ping K15 drivers.

  1. Enhanced face design- On the Ping K15 drivers, there is a larger hitting surface that allows for more consistent off the center ball strikes and creates a higher ball speed off the club face.
  2. Straight Flight Technology- Also known as the Ping SF Tec, this new technology provides substantial heel weighting which squares the clubface up better causing more accurate drives.
  3. Ultra thin crown technology- When Ping created thinner crown, they were able to redistribute that weight to the outer edge of the driver causing a higher MOI.

The Ping K15 drivers come in the following lofts: 9.5, 10.5, and 12.0. None of the Ping K15 drivers have offset and all have a 45.75" shaft. The shaft that is used for the Ping K15 drivers is the Ping TFC 149D, the same shaft that the Ping G15 uses. The shafts come in light, soft regular, regular, stiff, and extra stiff flexes. The price of the Ping K15 drivers is about $299.99.

Ping K15 Fairway Woods

Based on the same theory as the K15 drivers, the Ping K15 fairway woods are very easy to hit. Having the SFT in these fairways is so valuable to amateur golfers as it helps you hit the ball straight! There are two main factors to the success of the Ping K15 fairway woods.

  • Large head design- Because of the larger head size, the MOI has been increased with places the center of gravity more in the center which ultimately produces a high launch angle and low spin ration.
  • Elongated face- With the a longer face, the Ping K15 fairway woods are easier to hit because MOI has been spread out of a larger area.

The Ping K15 fairway woods come as a three wood, five wood, and seven wood. The three wood has a 16 degree loft, the five wood has a 19 degree loft, and the seven wood has a 22 degree loft. The Ping K15 fairway woods use the same shaft as the Ping K15 drivers. The price of the Ping K15 fairway woods is about $199.99.

Best Golf Equipment Reviews has had the opportunity to hit both the Ping K15 drivers and K15 fairway woods. The driver's had a nice feel to them but we really liked the Ping K15 fairway woods. They are very clean looking and easy to hit off the fairway. No matter which Ping K15 wood you choose, you are getting one of the best golf clubs out there today!
